The GC600 Glass Crusher is a heavy duty glass crusher that can crush up to 4000 bottles in an hour.Crushing glass reduces its volume by up to 80% which not only represents a dramatic saving on space, but also a hygienic solution for handling glass waste. Bottles can be loaded several at a time into the chute. The glass is then crushed and collected in a wheel bin, which is housed inside the unit. An integrated extraction unit minimizes the risk of glass dust from bottles.
Ensure you have the correct safety gear to operate the machine

Crushed glass is collected in a wheel bin housed inside the unit. Open the door to remove the bin.
Activate the machine via the start button, which starts both the blades and the dust extractor.
Feed bottles into the opening.
A rotating blade inside the chamber smashes and crushes the glass.
Larger pieces remain in the chamber until they are broken down further.
The crushed glass (cullet) is collected below in a 140L wheel bin, housed inside the unit.
It is advised that you check the bin intermittently to avoid over filling.
Open the lower door to remove the wheel bin and swap for a new one.
Check with your recycler/collector for a guide to the optimal weight of the bin.

A 140 litre bin has a capacity for around 680 1-litre bottles, However, be sure to check the capacity of the wheel bin below the machine, as this must be able to bear the weight of the crushed glass, as well as (potentially) being hydraulically lifted by truck. If in doubt, refer to your user manual or contact your recycler.
Easy! Simply fill 2-3 bottles with soapy water, and drop them in as normal. The soap will clean the chamber, and the liquid will drain off into the bin below.
Inside the chamber, an additional motor is running attached to a tube. This operates like a vacuum cleaner, sucking up any excess dust from the glass and feeding it off into a separately housed filter.
